MAKE THE WEEKEND A SPECIAL ONE
Miigwech -Thank You
We are so grateful you are making the journey to celebrate with us. We hope this weekend feels like a little getaway, a summer camp inspired retreat. Relax around the fire, canoe on the lake, and take time to soak in the beauty of the Minnesota Northwoods.
Registry
Your presence is truly the greatest gift.
There is no gift registry. If you feel called to give, we would be honored by a contribution toward our dream canoe, a Wenonah. We look forward to many adventures together as a married couple. There will be a Venmo option and a card box at the wedding for anyone who wishes to contribute.
Our Story

Shelbie and Anthony’s story actually begins in 2015 when Shelbie and Anthony’s sister Alex met in Tucson, Arizona at a conference. They both received the same scholarship and they became fast friends, building a connection that would unknowingly set the stage for something much bigger.
Shelbie and Anthony first met at Black Water Lounge in Duluth, when Alex invited Anthony and their mom to join her and her friends for drinks and sushi. At the time, Shelbie was dating someone else and Anthony was still just a young buck in college. They weren’t exactly on each other’s radar. Anthony first knew Shelbie simply as “Alex’s friend”.
Fast forward to 2019. Shelbie moved from Duluth to Minneapolis for her medical rotations and decided to give online dating a try. Shelbie had the courage to “swipe right” and matched with Anthony on Hinge and immediately knew exactly who he was: “Alex's younger brother.” They exchanged numbers and planned their first date.
Anthony picked Shelbie up in his periwinkle blue 2007 Town & Country minivan, which was not exactly the vehicle she expected him to roll up in. Their first stop was Indeed Brewing Company in Northeast Minneapolis, where they talked about yoga, their love for podcasts, and of course, their shared devotion to ice cream. This turned into a second stop at Sebastian Joe's for ice cream. They officially started dating on August 25, 2019. Later, they both admitted that after that very first date, they knew they had found their best friend and life partner. They quickly became inseparable and the rest is history.
